Pres.
Jay had nice meeting with the new team at All Saints Church..Father Pae
and Deacon Lorez. He has invited them along with Rev. McCarron to share
a breakfast and update us on latest events at the Church. All Saints is
the oldest religious institution in Great Neck, built in 1886. Father
Pae recalled obtaining a Rotary scholarship at College, so is well aware
of our support for the community. We look forward to giving them a warm
welcome.
We
have provided Teach For America volunteer Christopher Matles with seed
money to begin his college prep project at Yazoo City, Miss. H S. The
Club introduced him to the local Rotary Club in Yazoo where he should
enjoy warm support for his efforts (especially as Supt. of Schools is a
Club member)!!
