Due to a flood at Bruce's we had to seek an emergency breakfast place..thanks Dennis for quick thinking.
Emily Klinger is VP of the
Midnight Run wherein South HS students distribute clothes and toiletries
to the homeless in NYC. Next run will be Feb.4. The Club donated $250
worth of clothes and gave them to Emily for disbursement. Thanks to all
members who have contributed to this cause and to Emma, Joel and Dennis
who provided supplies. We hope to host Emily at Bruce's in the near
future. Those wishing to contribute may send cks to:
Gold Coast Rotary PO Box 234021 Great Neck NY 11023.
District GSE Team is now in India and has established a dedicated Facebook page to follow their adventures. A team from India will arrive in the Spring. GSE allows mid career people a chance to enjoy cultural and vocational enrichment.
The Robot Club has received
its design requirements for this year's challenge. Motch will advise the
Club of what tasks the team must carry out and we look forward to
supporting the students again.
We will examine the
requirements of the Manhasset Community Fund to agree on what project
would be attractive to seek a grant from them. Doug will sound out his
contacts there to guide our thought process.
Attendees: Emma, Dennis, Ravi, Joel, Jay M, Jay S, Mike, Doug
