Gold Coast Rotary visit from NYS Comptrolle
Welcome back all for a busy 2012!!
Feb 4 is next
midnight run when the HS students and dedicated educators actually
donate items collected to homeless..Dennis has made first donation
(thnx)..lets again collect warm basic items (socks, undies etc) as well
as sample size toiletries. Gov. Ravi will ask President of Rotary
Jericho Sunrise to join in collections as well. Thnx Ravi and Jaya!
Thurs Jan
12..Rotarians from the District will meet at Simply Fondue in
GN..5:30-8PM. Those who wish to socialize with members in the District
plse enjoy.
2/29 deadline..PP Doug has
provided us with a chance to seek a grant from Manhasset Community
Fund...brainstorm request...Focus areas
1) Improving the lives of children and teens in NH
2)Improving the lives of Seniors in NH
3)Improving the lives of Adults and Families in NH( North Hempstead)
will discuss ideas this Friday at Bruce's at 8 AM meeting.
April 20..winetaster/fundraiser tentative date.
PP Doug and Sect'y Jay served as judges for DECA the business clubs of LI high schools with
800 students participating and seeking to advance to the State
competition.This supports the vocational area of service of Rotary. We
salute the many eductors that are involved in this excellent program
