We are pleased to announce our newest member, Dr. Leslie Josephy. He is is
a retired urologist and an active guitar bass player and pilot and
former Rotarian from upstate NY!!! Induction ceremony to follow.
Next
to join will be accountant Joel Meltzer who will attend tonight's
winetaster and has kindly contributed gifts towards its success.
We will then have a total of 20 members.
Tonight
is our Wine Taster/Fundraiser..looks like 50 attendees shall come, lots
of prizes, fun for all. See you at HSBC Bank at 6:30 PM in Glen Oaks
Shopping Center.
Thanks
to Doug, Jerry and Jay for making a presentation at the South HS Career
forum. This top rated HS has an excellent internship program that
enable students to better understand various career opportunities.
Vocational Service is one of Rotary's Five Avenues of service. In
addtion to Robotics and Scholarship we seek to expand support of various
school activities.
Congratulations
to Jesse who made a speech to 250 people from his hometown in Haiti. We
invite his Association to enjoy our upcoming May 12 Art auction, which
will focus on funding our water well in Haiti. Clarisse has invited
people from Roots of Development in NY and DC to attend as well!!
