Motch Madness  (HS Robot Club update):
John Motchkaviz (super educator) brought us up to date on the South HS Robotics Project. He has 80 students seeking to compete in this year's contest. Currently they are broken into a variety of groups to accomplish specific tasks. Regionals will be held 3/24-26 at Hofstra and then on to finals in St. Louis in April should they again qualify for world tournement. This year one part of the contest includes a large robot racing to a pole to offload a smaller one that has to climb up a pole...requiring speed, dexterity etc etc
The Club will seek local company sponsors and work with students on a fundraiser for the Robot Club.
In addition his Club will be working with the Saddle Rock Elementary School to start a Robot Club there..and our Club will purchase a Robot starter kit for them. We will invite the Elementary teacher advisor to enjoy a bkfast with us to celebrate this new project!!
