Congratulations to Jesse for the August 11, release of his book "Let It Be Easy"!
President Jay will represent our District at Leadership Institute on August 27 and will be in Chicago early September to welcome his son back from a year of study in Japan. President Elect Mike will run our August 27, and September 3, meetings.
We are still seeking host family for 16 year old youth exchange student Simon, from France. Non Rotarians are fine..they must live in North school area of Great Neck.

President Jay and member Lynn will attend District Membership Committee first meeting held in Bayside on August 24, 2010.
October 24, 2010 will be Gold Coast Fall Tag sale fundraiser. Please gather items now for sale and contact Project Manager Lynn with any questions.
Ed has extended an invitation to the new minister of All Saints to join us at one of our weekly meetings. We look forward to meeting him.
Guest speaker, Jeanne Malone, from Auction Division of LI Photography presented pieces of artwork that could be presented at our fall auction fundraiser. The artwork range in price from $45.00 to $6500.00 however; we are looking to choose artwork ranging from $45.00 to $500.00.Items would be selected for the auction after which; a catalog would be printed for potential buyers to browse.
The fundraising proceeds scale is as follows:
100 People Minimum - $1250.00 (guaranteed by auctioneer)
150 people Minimum - $1750.00
In addition, any future purchases made by attendees of the Auction will generate a 20% donation to our club. The location for the auction would be our traditional place All Saints. All information will be discussed further at our September board meeting.

Guest, Jerry Berkson, introduce a proposal for our club to sponsor the presentation of a musical titled 'We the People, America Rocks" at the elementary level of the Great Neck schools. This play promotes the importance of community service and encourages the students to do community service in their communities.
