Chair Lynn M. has introduced our Club to its newest member Lisa
Mevorach!! Lisa is a product of the Great Neck School system (as are
her 4 children) and is a lawyer here in Town. She and her husband are
active in many charities including the food pantry at the local Church.
We are happy to have her as a member.We look forward to our very own
Gov. Ravi inducting her in the near future.

speaker was Joseph Sciame, VP, St. Johns and former National President
of Sons of Italy in America. He is active on many Boards and has been
granted over 150 awards for community service. Advice to students these
days is take a double major and study foreign language. Outstanding
speaker.
Next
Tues those who are able will meet for lunch at All Saints to plan Gov.
Homecoming dinner. Plse confirm so that enough sandwiches are
available. Thanks to host Ed and Lynn M., dinner Chairlady.
Lynn D. and Jay meeting with local Clubs to introduce District HS Youth Exchange program.
Mike
is making progress on Club website. Will request content input from all
and has asked a few members to check out his first efforts.Thanks Mike.
Club has begun to receive donations to our Thanksgiving drive.
Ed
has created fundraising letter (so well done it has been "borrowed" by
the Brooklyn Rotary!!).Provide him your holiday mailing lists and he
will mail it out for you. Alternatively requset it and you may mail it
out yourself. This supports area in Brooklyn served by Brookdale
Hospital where Jesse and his wife are managing the labs. We request $50
per Thanksgiving basket.
We
have many participants for the Rotary Foundation Dinner Nov. 8 at
Leonards. The Club will send one check to Gov. Ravi (so attendees plse
send to Club $100 per person for the dinner).
We plan to welcome senior Foundation reps from Sri Lanka and Japan..have also enjoy great evening.
